The Chief Executive Officer of Yemyte Fashion School located in the Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos State, Mrs Yemi Olaoye is of the opinion that profit seeking should not be the first goal when setting up a business.
According to the entrepreneur who was inspired into setting up the business due to the challenges she faced as a girl child, the aim should be quality service delivery in business and every other thing including money will follow.
Mrs Yemi Olaoye said she was moved to make a living for herself to debunk the ideology of her polygamous father (an inspector of police) that being a female child, she and her other six (6) sisters will amount to nothing in life.
She however reveals that when she started out, her now flourishing fashion institute barely had applicants interested in getting registered to learn the trade of dressmaking.
